Hi, my name’s Auburn! I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts when I was just a young puppy. I found a home, but when my owner’s new job started keeping them away for extended hours each day, they didn’t want me to be alone that long. So, I’m back with Mostly Mutts and ready to find my forever family to love — and be loved by — so plan to come meet me soon! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot! I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me.
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like the dogs I have met while with Mostly Mutts and in my former home, so if you have a dog at home already who may enjoy a friend, let’s meet! / My former owner reported that I liked the cats I met while I was with them. / My former owner reported that I liked the kids I met while I was with them, though I don’t recall their ages, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a friendly, sweet, and playful pup who loves to bring joy wherever I go. I’ve got plenty of energy for fun and games, and I’m also a pretty smart cookie, so I enjoy learning new things. Everyone says I’m super sweet – just ask the photographer who enjoyed our photo session! Whether we’re playing, exploring, or just hanging out together, I’ll be your happy, loving companion every step of the way. I did chew on a few things that didn’t belong to me (TV remote, plant leaves) in a temp. foster home - the MM trainers will work with me on this, but please keep a close eye on me as I adjust to my new home. / My energy level is 6-7+.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I am a smart pup who loves to learn. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and were good in my former home, too. / My former owner reported that I was potty trained, though I’ve been having some accidents since my return as well as in a temp. foster home I visited. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play with toys, go for walks and spend time with people. In my former home, I also enjoyed some ice. A volunteer recently took me to downtown Woodstock where I met nice people, young and old, and was on my best behavior. I was calm when greeting them and was a good listener – they were so impressed given my age! I’m sure we will discover lots of other things we enjoy doing together. / In my former home I wasn’t a fan of having my nails trimmed or ears touched, though I haven’t shown this at Mostly Mutts. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed.
